Sridhar Radhakrishnan, Ph.D.

Senior Scientist

During my Phd in Food Science/Human and Animal Nutrition at Colorado State University and during my Undergraduate degree from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India, I worked on how plant-based phytochemicals and nutraceuticals provide their anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer health benefits in a variety of models including rodents and pigs. I also have a background in food processing and how processing alters the nutritional stability of different dietary ingredients during my post-doctoral fellowship at the Pennsylvania State University. Since 2015, in my current position at Research Diets, Inc., I have employed my scientific expertise to work and connect with scientists and researchers around the world, in both Academia and in the Pharma/Biotech industry. What I enjoy about my work is the ability to interact and collaborate with researchers from a wide range of fields, including obesity, oncology, MASLD/MASH, immunology, neuroscience etc., and to discuss and consult on how different dietary nutrients can affect the phenotype development in their respective animal models. I have gained extensive expertise in pre-clinical NASH models and published multiple research and review papers. One of the coolest aspects of my work is the ability to travel around to world to meet our customers, giving talks and attending conferences, discuss novel and unpublished work, and be involved in training the next generation of scientists. Our excellent scientific team at RDI allows me the freedom and flexibility to continue being actively involved in research, while keeping our daily schedule fun and informative. Work-life balance at RDI is great, and it allows me to enjoy my other passions outside of work including but not limited to traveling, racquetball, paddle tennis, and hiking.
